October 1, 1995 - InterApps, Inc. of Hermosa Beach, CA, today
announced the immediate availability of DOM2INFO, which
synchronizes the Dominion95 Help Desk software with IBM's
Info/Management products. The announcement was made today from
the Computer Training and Support Conference in Orlando Florida. The DOM2INFO Dominion95 to Info/Management gateway allows
bi-directional record synchronization between the Dominion95 Help
Desk and Customer Service software system, and IBM's
Info/Management system product. The software (which resides on
the LAN) can be configured for bi-directional, or unidirectional
updates. The DOM2INFO software allows customers and agents to use
either product without restrictions, and have the data appear in
the other product. The design of the software is such that it can
easily be configured to handle any type of customizations that
exist in Info/Management, and in Dominion95. The software
provides record level synchronization, and field-level conflict
resolution. "The DOM2INFO Host Gateway can be useful in large call
centers where some of the agents or support representatives are
using Info/Management, and others are using Dominion95",
says Mark Hripko, vice president of product development at
InterApps. "It can also be used in situations where a large
company wants to migrate from a host based product (like
Info/Management) to a network based system (Dominion95) and they
require a period where both systems are running with synchronized
databases." The DOM2INFO system can synchronize the databases
continuously, and the system provides automatic conflict
resolution capabilities so that information can be changed in
either management system. The DOM2INFO system can even be
extended and customized using InterApps' Dominion95 Database
Management Language, which follows the VBA standard. The DOM2INFO system is available now and pricing varies by

chartbooks. Finally, the program has been enhanced and now
supports macro programming in Basic, GWBasic, QuickBasic, and the
new VBA programming languages. Dominion95 even allows you to mix
programming styles within the same macro or code section.
