Gateway support! August 1, 1995 - InterApps, Inc. of Hermosa Beach, CA, today
announced the immediate availability of Electronic Mail
enhancements to Dominion, their Help desk, Customer Service, and
Business Information software. The New Features include MHS mail
handling support, Banyan VINES and Intelligent Messaging III
(IMIII) mail support, Inbound Mail Gateway, Mail Server, and
support for Notify!, Ex Machina, Inc's alphanumeric paging
software. The announcement was made today from InterApps, Inc
headquarters in Hermosa Beach, CA. "With MHS Mail support, people can send and receive mail from within Dominion and MHS compatible mail systems like Pegasus Mail, Novell Global MHS, and da Vinci mail, not to mention many others", said Mark Hripko, V.P. Product Development at InterApps. "In addition with the Mail Server and Gateway functions, Dominion can provide fully configurable inbound mail-reception and processing functionality. This allows people to send Electronic Mail messages to create a Change, report a Problem, update a Phonebook record, run a Report, or check the status of anything." In addition, Banyan VINES mail, and IMIII mail is also supported. The Mail API is a documented, extensible API designed to allow
Dominion to work with any mail enabled application, as well as
allow other applications to work with Dominion. Dominion's mail
API provides support for Banyan VINES Mail, Microsoft Mail,
cc:Mail, Lotus Notes, PerfectOffice, WPOffice 4.0, daVinci,
Pegasus, Global MHS, Futurus Team, cc:Mobile. The Electonic Mail server is now Windows95 aware and will work
transparently with Microsoft Exchange, the innovative inbox
client packaged with Windows95. Implementing a 24 hour status monitor or auto-attendant with
Dominion will be as simple as starting the mail program. Once
started, the auto-attendant server will process any requests that
