Each file in Dominion has a data dictionary which lists the following information:
·Field Name
·Field Type
·Field Format
·Formulas / Validations / Calculations applied to the fields
The data dictionary file which contains this information has an extension of SBD on it.
Any files that is visible on the screen in Dominion can be viewed on-line. For example, if you wanted to view the data dictionary of the PEOPLE file, to see what fields were available for holding information about people, you could go to the Phonebook Detail screen, and view the Status of the File.
You can view the data dictionary at any time, ON-LINE by following these steps:
1.Open the Utilities menu by pressing ALT+U
2.Choose Status by pressing the underlined letter S
3.Choose File by pressing F
1.Click on the Utilities menu.
2.Click on Status.
3.Click on File.
The Status of the file display in a movable window. You can scroll this window as necessary to see all of the fields in the file. When you are through viewing this information, you can close the window by double-clicking on the Control Menu (in the upper left corner of the window) or pressing the keyboard keys ALT+ F4
