Service Summary

InterApps, Inc's Data Recovery Service is a service offering that provides a way for people to recover from corrupt Superbase database files, or reclaim deleted data.  Although the Superbase program generally can fix it's own database problems using the REORGANIZE command, there are some database files that Superbase will refuse to open, or cannot open, or once they are opened, cannot be reorganized and recovered. Rather then have to restore files from an old back-up (you DO have a back up, don't you?), or possibly have to re-key in a lot of information, the experts at InterApps, Inc.can possibly repair your file for you, saving you time, energy, and money.  In cases where you have somehow issued some record deletion commands (such as REMOVE FROM FILE ...) but have not REORGANIZED the file, then it may also be possible to recover this data for you.

Can we recover data that you have recently deleted?

If you delete data in a Superbase file, but have not REORGANIZED it, the data is still located inside of the SBF file.  Sometimes (not always) this data can be recovered.   In some cases, recovery of data will be more labor intensive, and thus take longer.   (Since the service is priced per hour, this means that it might also cost more for recovery). Purchase / Submit files for recovery or repair

Data Recovery is priced at $150 per hour, with a one hour minimum.  We will recover as many files as we can, but of course, we cannot guarantee that all of your files, or all of your data will remain intact. In many cases, we generally see that about 99% of the time, all files and all data can be recovered.

If we cannot repair or recover a file, or set of files, you will NOT be charged! So it's a no-risk proposition. However, be aware that if you submit multiple files, and we recover any of them (not necessarily all of them) then it will be considered that work was done and you will be charged the minimum (1 hour) charge. For example, if you submit one database file and we cannot recover it, you will not be charged (if you paid with a credit card on the Marketplace, then your transaction will be voided and it will never even appear as a charge.  If you submit 3 database files and we can only recover 1 or 2 of them, then you will be charged, and your files will be returned to you.

In order to submit files to the Data Recovery experts at InterApps, Inc. you must do one of the following:

Purchase a one hour Data Recovery Request for $150 on the Marketplace. Once your credit card is accepted, you will be given file submission instructions, plus additional information.  Remember, even though we will check your credit card to make sure that your payment will be processed, you will NOT be charged until we have successfully returned your recovered files to you. If we cannot recover or repair your files, your credit card will NOT be charged at all! Using the Marketplace is the fastest, and quickest way to get your database files repaired and returned to you.

Call InterApps (see current contact information on the home page), Inc. and arrange to submit your files, and make arrangements for payment.  We cannot process your files until we have either a valid Credit Card, or a check or invoice/purchase order from qualified businesses.

Additional information about Superbase files

Generally speaking Superbase database files do not corrupt themselves on their own.   Usually the cause of the corruption is related to factors beyond Superbase's control. For example, network disruptions, network cabling problems, having your PC lock up during a lengthy update, removal, or write operation.  In addition, we have seen people attempt to modify the SBD file by hand, or fiddle around with index files, or even attempt to write into SBF files directly using editor tools.  These types of corruption are generally repairable, however, it's important to figure out what is causing your files to become corrupt in addition to repairing your data.
